Job Site:       Multiple School Buildings

Hours/Days:   37.5 hours per week, 186 days (9.5 months)

Hourly Rate:  $48,880 annually commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for providing assessment, interpretation of results, planning, goal development, and appropriate intervention services designed to enhance the student’s potential for learning and to assist the student in acquiring those functional performance skills needed to participate in and benefit from his/her special education to help the student function.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree or entry-level doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program.

• Current Indiana Occupational Therapist (OT) license or eligibility for Indiana licensure.

• Current registration or eligibility for registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), as applicable.

• Successful completion of required fieldwork experiences.

• Ability to meet all applicable state and district employment requirements.

• Knowledge of special education principles, evaluation procedures, and the role of related services within the educational setting.

Working Conditions:

 

The position requires working within school buildings and educational environments and may require travel between district schools. The position may involve working with students who have a variety of physical, developmental, sensory, behavioral, and educational needs. The employee must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
